Description | The macadam extending from Jerusalem to Jaffa, whose tax revenue was matched with the administration of the municipal hospital, has begun to get damaged on the parts from Bab-al-vâd and Ramla to Jaffa. It was stated by the mültezim of the said taxes that the deformed parts now prevent the passing of coaches and the traffic here would be interrupted unless they are repaired. It was additionally stated that if these roads are not repaired, no harm shall be seen regarding the delay of the payment of taxes. For the initialization of reparation of the said road, three letters were presented by the municipality at different times and these were relegated to the Chief Engineering and commission of the Public Works. However, since no necessary action has thus far been taken in respect thereof, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to whom it may concern, in order to immediately start the needed reparation so as both to prevent an interruption of traffic and to avoid any damage to be sustained by the hospital administration. The 21th of Mayîs (1)317 (3rd of June 1901). [2 signatures] |
