Description | As is self-evidently clear, our council’s office and the pharmacy within the city have been rented. In the negotiation carried out with the owner for the renewal of the rental contract, the owner categorically stated that he could not rent the place for less than 6,000 piasters as respected current akçe. Only 5,000 piasters have been allotted in the budget for the said rent cost and the provisions of the 16. Article of the Municipal Regulation necessitate that this rent cost be covered from one-fifth of incomes. Since the municipal taxes put on Dutch auction to the account of 1314 (1898-1999) have had an increase of 18,465 piasters in comparison with the prices budgeted on your kind courtesy, a decision has been taken to cover 1,000 piasters, the extra amount to be given for the rental price, from this surplus income. It is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council for ratification if deemed convenient. The 7th of Nîsân (1)314 (19th of April 1898). [8 signatures] |
