Description

According to the inspection (report) given by one of us, the honorable Hussayn Effendi and the inspector Ibrâhîm Effendi, it has become clear that the bridge constructed by the woman Dûla Bint Ishâq and her son Hârûn in the informal neighborhood (qumbâniyya) on the street outside of Damascus Gate is cracked and tends to fall. It is a danger to passersby. Therefore it has been decided by the council to chose registered persons (contractors) for demolishing this bridge within four days, and this according to article 48 of the building regulations. The 10th of Mârt (1)314 (22nd of March 1898).
