Description | As stated in the above-written marginal note of the Office of Real Estate, all the buildings located in the sanjak of Jerusalem are masonry buildings. From of old, the houses within the city walls have been adjacent to each other; on the other hand, other buildings newly constructed outside the walls are remote from each other and most of them are covered with tiles. Hence, it is hereby presented that the buildings in Jerusalem are in no way vulnerable to fire and no damage has been brought to the buildings during the fires that rarely broke out up until now. The 12th of Kanûn 'Awwal (1)310 (24th of December 1894). [4 signatures] |
