Description About providing food for sick prisoners: On the letter by the Warden. The municipal budget is not sufficient to afford the food to be given to sick prisoners brought to the Municipal Hospital for treatment. As presented and stated in the above-recorded decision by the municipal council, it is necessary that a share be reserved also for the said patients as before from the food allocation given to other poor prisoners by the Prison Directorate. In the marginal note written by the Prison Directorate it was stated, in line with the decision taken by the Sanjak Administrative Council on 11 May 1898, that the food given to the said convicted prisoners during their stay in hospital must be covered from state treasury. As presented above, since the municipal budget is not sufficient to cover the food allocation to be given to the said sick convicts, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council to discuss the issue of providing the food of these sick prisoners by the Prison Directorate as before. The 15th of Mârt (1)315 (27th of March 1899).
