Description | Upon the Tax Directorate’s marginal note dated 20 April 1909, regarding the appraisal of real estates and lands in Jericho As is known, some of the gardens located in the said village were laid out ten and six years ago, and some of them four and two years ago; there are thus variations in the crops harvested from them and in the building incomes; and finally, some of them were made of bricks and some of them of basic stones. In terms of value, there is a great difference between agricultural terrains and other uncultivated lands, pastures and woodland. Since no comparison can thus be made with reference to the real estates and land of the said village; as stated in the above-written marginal note of the Tax Directorate, they cannot be appraised without being inspected by the Liva Accounting; moreover, the State Lands Administration has promised to give the daily wages of the officials following a permission. It is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council for holding a negotiation on the issue and explaining the proper course of action to be taken in respect thereof. The 8th of Nîsân (1)325 (21st of April 1909). |
