Description | In the decree dated 20 July 1898 and numbered 149, it was notified that, on the one hand, a register showing all unlicensed steam engines and factories within the kaza and the city be sent, and that, on the other, all of them be officially licensed. It was thereupon understood that there are 11 steam powered factories in the town and kaza of Jerusalem, and that 8 of them are licensed by the Ministry of Commerce and Public Works. It has turned out that the other four belonging to the people whose names are written in the hereby presented register do not have any license. These people have been cautioned via Hovace Corci Alfrat that the license necessary for the machines belonging to the Jewish Alliance Madrasah be obtained. Besides, the matter has been notified to the Latin Monastery, and to the Consulate of the English State, in order to explain the situation to their subject Hovace Rekm (?). The 25th of Tammûz (1)314 (6th of August 1898). |
