Description It was announced in the telegram from the province of Beirut, dated on the 27th of Huzayrân (1)317, that according to the written conditions in the auction file sent on Huzayrân, 26, (1)317, 1 million ounces of wheat and 500,000 ounces of barely are tendered for auction for the province of Hijâz according to the following conditions: all expenses needed to move these materials and deliver them to Jeddah and Yanbu‘, with the prices of the animals, fare of the carts, and all other fees should be paid by the contractor. The contractor should also load these materials for the seller after 15 days of the referral date, the seller should pay half the price to the contractor at the time of loading and the other half after a coded telegram has been sent to confirm delivery to the Hijâz. The decision has been given on the 7th of Tammûz (1)317, at 10 o’clock. All those who wish to enter the auction should refer to the Municipal Department. In order for this to be known the procedure was announced on the 28th of Huzayrân (1)317 (11h of July 1901).
