Description | Upon two afore-presented letters dated 16 May 1900 and 27 March 1901 and the notification to the French Consulate, the unlicensed construction of the church started by nuns named Sen Jozef, who are under the auspices of the French state, in their precincts near Seyyidena Ukkaşe had been stopped. However, in the report given by the municipal engineers, it is stated that they re-started the construction. In order to take legal action against the journeymen, from the people of Bethlehem, another permission letter has been presented via the Bethlehem Directorate so as to arrest and send them. Hence, in order to re-notify the French Consulate that the church construction in question must be immediately stopped and that the construction must not be started until an obtainment of license and in order to inspect this place and to take necessary legal action as regards this issue, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council. The 17th of Mayîs (1)317 (30th of May 1901). [2 signatures] |
