Description | According to the request dated on the 27th of Tammûz (1)320 and brought to our department by Lady Shafîqa from the people of Atna, she states that she is from the order of midwives and that she was recruited in Atna because of the references (?) and diplomas she holds. Since she has come here, she would like to become a midwife for the municipal council. Directions have been given to the municipal doctor, who is the health inspector for the district, and who has given an order to nominate a midwife. The person mentioned has the skills and competencies to fill this position. When this was discussed in the council, the nomination of the mentioned person was approved. But since there is a lack of funds in this year’s budget for paying her salary, it has been decided to nominate her on a voluntary basis, meaning without salary until the first of Mart (1)321, and that in next year’s budget, the amount of her salary will be alloted. If any budgetary means were found this year, a salary will be given to her from that moment. In order for this to be approved, this decision was taken on the 7th of Agustos (1)320 (20th of August 1904) [5 signatures] |
