Description | In the inspection report given by the municipal engineer, it was stated that there is a dilapidated room in the house owned by the inheritors of Ahmed Effendi Zuhub (?), in the Damascus Gate neighborhood, and that it must be demolished as it poses a threat. In accordance with the 53. article of the Public Buildings Regulation, an official letter was sent to Ömer Hunub (?) Effendi, who is located in Jerusalem, in which it was said that the room must be immediately demolished. As a response, it was stated that the said inheritors were not there, but that the matter was notified to Sheikh Rashid Hunub (?) Effendi, living in Egypt. However, since it has been understood that it would be ill-advised to leave the said room in such a condition, it has been approved that the said room be demolished by the council member Yusf Nisbe and the engineer Ibrahim Effendi, under the supervision of a municipal police official and of the neighborhood muhtar. It is thus appropriate to relegate the matter to the municipal police force. The 13th of Tishrîn Awwal (1)313 (25th of October 1897). [6 signatures] |
