Description | Upon the petition by the multazim of the butchers’ tax for Bethlehem As stated in the bill of the butchers’ tax for Jerusalem, monasteries are exempt from the butchers’ tax for the sheep to be slaughtered within the monastery or for those to be slaughtered at the slaughterhouse for the monastery. Hence, with respect to negotiating whether the sheep slaughtered for the monasteries in the said kaza are exempt from the butchers’ tax, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council.
