Description | The tax in question was put in auction and efforts were made to create demand through effective incentives; however, there was no suitor who bid more than the ascertained price. When the reasons of this situation were examined, it was understood that it resulted from the fact that the number of visitors and also the number of animals brought to the city last year and this year were less than ever. As there would be revenue loss if the aforementioned tax was collected not through tender but on government account, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council to have a declaration on what to do about the issue. The 5th of Mârt (1)308 (17th of March 1892). [4 signatures] |
