Description | It has been ordered that the road located at the east side of Moskofiye be repaired and improved with the money to be saved from the expenditures for the improvement of the major street leading to the municipal hospital. As stated in the hereby presented inspection register, the estimated expenses necessary for the reparation of the major street is 22,960 piasters. A comparison with the expenses determined for its re-improvement shall provide a saving og 23,840 piasters. However, if the said road is improved in the form of reparation, it will get out of order, ensuing with an unappealing view, so it will need to be improved again next year, which would make the money to be spent this year in vain. It has already been considered by our council that the re-improvements be completed with the contractor’s commitment, and that the sum of 12,880 piasters, as specified in the hereby presented inspection register, necessary for repairing the road at the east side of Moskofiye be covered with the money saved from the sea sand expenditure. Nevertheless, for negotiating the issue and, if deemed suitable, taking a decision as to cover the said sum from our council’s fund, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council. The 4th of Agustos (1)314 (16th of August 1898). |
