Description | A Dutch auction was carried out with regard to the estimated expenses of the roads, decided to be repaired and improved by the financing of the municipal fund on the ground of the known trip. Possible suitors were summoned, but no one showed any interest, as the estimated prices have been found to be too low. When the engineer was inquired about the underlying reasons, he replied that the expenses specified in the inspection register he had given on this matter had been estimated on the necessary use of havr instead of stream sand. Supposing that an approval is given for the use of havr instead of stream sand, it has turned out that the said reparation would not attain the expected solidity. It is thus possible that the said roads be repaired on the estimated expenses. After leaving out the roads contracted by the engineer, the expenses of other roads have been put on Dutch auction. Following the completion of bidding, there will be a need of 11,742 piasters as respected current akçe, apart from the above-mentioned estimated expenses. Therefore, except for the approximate sum of 35,500 piasters decided to be borrowed upon the Sanjak Administrative Council’s decision, the specified sum must also be borrowed. As regards negotiating the issue and explaining the necessary actions to be taken in respect thereof, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council. The 8th of Huzayrân (1)314 (20th of June 1898). |
