Description | Yesterday, on Friday, we were informed that the Latins are illegally building a wall around a public recreation spot, which is located outside Jerusalem, on the road which leads to Mount Sinai and close to the Latin gardens. The construction has been terminated and the construction workers who are working without any permit have been punished. The recreation spot and the road is public, and no one from any nation is permitted to claim a right on this spot. Thus, the French Consulate should be informed by the governor of Sanjak that the wall which has been constructed illegally by the Latins should demolished and returned to its previous condition. The 18th of Kânûn Thânî (1)312 (30th of January 1897). |
