Description

We announce to all butchers and vendors of intestines that given the beginning of summer, a total ban on the sale of intestines inside the Old City has been decided. From tomorrow’s date, intestines should not enter the old city and whoever disobeys will be subject to a harsh legal punishment including the confiscation and throwing away of the intestines. So be wary of disobeying. And in order for this to be known, these directions were published on the 2nd of Mayîs (1)316 (15th of May 1900).

Also all butcher shops should be painted and the meat covered with a thin cloth in order to protect it from the flies.
