Description According to the notification given by the district administrative council dated on the 31st of Agustos (1)316 a lease for the municipality’s hotel was given to the khawâja Fast and his son for a period of fifteen years starting in the beginning of Muharram (1)316, under the condition that they build nineteen rooms with all necessary content for an amount of 1300 French liras following the approved drawing and inspection report. If the mentioned amount is not spent entirely, whatever is left over is to be paid in cash to the council’s treasury and whatever is needed in addition to the 1300 French liras has to be paid by the leaseholders from their account. According to the terms of the contract, the construction and the expenses have to occur under the supervision of all of us, which means that the respectable Hâj Bakr Effendi Al Nashâ and the competent engineers will follow up (a few times) each month and immediately after the beginning and until the end of the construction works. This decision was taken accordingly on the 25th of Aylûl (1)316 (8th of October 1900).
