Description The tax of the macadam reaching from Jerusalem to Jaffa, whose incomes pertain to the Jerusalem Municipal Hospital, was put to auction to the account of the year 1315, and it was submitted to Sukru Effendi through the guarantee of Hasan Nasasibi Effendi at a rate of 120,000 piasters. It was stipulated that the installment payments of the said tax delayed due to any excuse or trial. Since the establishment of a sentry box in the region of Jaffa Tel-Aris is objected to by the Jaffa municipality and its administration, it is insisted by the multazim that the April and May installments should not be paid. It has been stated in the surety bond that in case of delay in the payment of installments, the multazim has to pay the non-paid sum together with a default interest. In order to discuss and report the method of dealing with the said tax, it must be relegated to the Livâ Administrative Council. The 31st of Mâyis (1)315 (12th of June 1899).
