Description | The butchers’ tax to be taken from the city centre of Jerusalem to the account of 1315 (1899-1900) was put to auction and after the completion of bidding, the period of decision expired as from the first day of this month. Beginning from the expiration of the period of decision, it was kept suspended for 11 days. Through the guarantee of Selim Hamiye Al Hidat, Hasan Hamis raised the tender price by 5 percent, increasing it to 40,005 piasters. Since the period for suspension has also expired, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administative Council in order to complete the tender if it is deemed suitable. The 17th of Mâyis (1)315 (28th of May 1899). [7 signatures] |
