Description | According to the application dated on the 26th of Nîsân (1)320, presented by citizens of Ma’man Allah and which has been referred to this department, about the repair of the road that extends from the old library and leading to the Ma’man Allah cemetery and Râtzbâwm School, we have inspected the road. Upon the inspection report drafted by the municipality’s engineer, it became evident that in order for the land to be registered for Al Shosah mahalla??, a sum of 41,783 piasters is needed. We understood that the citizens of the mentioned quarters are ready to carry out what is needed for these repairs, so the council presented a report on the 10th of Huzayrân (1)320 to take the permission of the district administrative council. The council approved the issue on the 29th of Huzayrân (1)320, number 433. One of our members, the respectable Sâbâ Effendi and one of us ‘Arif Effendi ‘Uwîdah and Andûnî Effendi Al Dûrî have been appointed. From the register presented to the recommended personnel, we understood that a sum of 264 French Liras has been distributed, the secretary of Râtzbâwm School is hoped to pay something. Upon bringing the necessary people who are interested in the matter, the agreement of Master Ya‘qûb Salim, Abû Miqhâr has been obtained to carry out these repairs for 15 piasters to be paid in installments per one meter. The length of the road is 1538 meters taking the total cost of repair to 23,070 piasters; this includes leveling the ground, placing rock pieces, stones and water prices as well as other materials needed for this purpose. Accordingly, the council has decided to collect the distributed sums and carry out the recommended repairs under the supervision of the appointed people and the municipality’s engineer, Ibrahîm Effendi; other needed sums will be paid from the municipality’s treasury from road allocations in the budget of (1)322. In order to obtain an approval, this decision was issued on the 3rd of Kânûn Thânî (1)321 (16th of January 1906). [5 signatures] |
