Description | Following a series of complaints against Derviş Effendi, the pharmacist of the municipal hospital, due to his maltreatments and misdemeanours, it has become necessary to make an investigation on this issue and a committee has been established by the municipality to respond to relevant concerns. According to the summary of the committee’s investigation, the following has thus been understood: Derviş Effendi has been unable to get along with men and women applying to the pharmacy due to his inconvenient and improper demeanour; that he dismissed the assistant pharmacist, who had been selected among doctors and officially appointed by the municipality, and substituted him with an unknown Jewish boy, without even having a recourse to the municipality and his superiors; that he was devoid of righteousness and trust as he had given insufficient dose of the medications stated in the doctors’ prescriptions, coupled with his inconvenients statements against his superiors. Thus, since it is now impossible for him to remain at the said official post, it has been considered necessary that he be dismissed and another person with good demeanours be appointed instead. Someone has been found to administer this post by proxy until the person to be appointed reaches there. It is appropriate to notify the Ministry of Medicine with regard to dismissing him from now on, and appointing and dispatching the other. The 27th of Shubât (1)326 (12th of March 1911). |
