Description | Sâdiq Bîk, health director in the municipality, took a sum of 60000 piasters from the municipality’s treasury on the 22nd of Tishrîn Thânî, and gave it to the Armenian Listrâ Jubân to meet people’s needs. Sâdiq Bîk also delivered 4000 kilos of wheat, in addition to some cash money to the municipality during the presidency of ‘Arif Bîk Effendi, both men were referred to prison. After investigations about this amount of wheat with the governorate, it appeared from the reports of ‘Arif Bîk and Sâdiq Bîk, the previous mayors that the kilo should be paid for 85 para only, including loading. They said that part of this amout was confiscated by the military and its price was paid to the department according to the above mentioned category, and the sum was registered in the department. Accordingly, it has been decided to set the price of the 4000 kilos at 8500 piasters, and deduct this amount from the 60000 piasters after taking a receipt from the relevant department. It has also been understood from the municipality’s officers ‘Alî Effendi and the accountant officer Hammâd Effendi that the total sum received by the municipality at different dates is 63070 piasters and 24 para. After these calculations, it has been found out that Sâdiq Bîk is innocent of the charge, which means his pension will be resumed, as understood from the recommended people. Therefore, this decision was issued to implement the document related to this issue, as written on 12–5 –(1)333 (12th of May 1917). [7 signatures] |
