Description | It is requested that, in accordance with the mutasarrifate’s order and on the provision that they shall be substituted with the money later to be brought from the kazas; 100 French liras paid by the municipality on debt for the reparation and furnishing work of the mosque within the fortress carried out by the commandership, 275 French liras which must be already given as the cost of the clock decided to be brought from England for the clock tower, due to the transfer of the clock from Jerusalem to Beersheba, and 250 French liras needed to be spent for the import of a machine for the print of the Jerusalem newspaper; i.e., 625 French liras in total be submitted to the municipality. On the condition that this money be repaid through relief to be later collected and part of which has been already undertaken and cheques to be given in case of necessity by the Ottoman Bank be undersigned by the mutasarrifate, it is demanded that a decision be taken by the Sanjak Administrative Council for gradually taking money, deposited at the Ottoman Bank and reserved for the construction of the government office, and submitting it to the municipality, all with a view to having a speedy and well-ordered process.
