Description | In the decree dated 16 April 1917 and numbered 651/952, given to the office of mutasarrifate by the Fourth Imperial Army Commander and the Naval Minister Ahmed Cemâl Pasha, it is stated that the Moskofiyye buildings seized on behalf of the state in accordance with the Council of Ministers’ decision must be confiscated on behalf of the Ministry of War. In accordance with the decision, dated 23 April 1917 and numbered 193, issued by the Sanjak Administrative Council following this decree, leaving aside for a moment the procedures necessary for confiscating the Moskofiyye buildings for public benefit on behalf of the Ministry of War, the real properties in question, as written in the note given by the land registry office as required by the 2. article of the Real Estate Confiscation Law, are the following: a garden known by the name of the New Moskofiye, bounded by the road at the qibla, east and north side, and by the house of Yusuf İsrail, and a house including low and high buildings within itself; a cistern together with a house and its garden known by the name of the New Moskofiye, bounded by the house of Sheikh Aşîrî (?) at the qibla side, by the house of Waqf of Sektâç (?) and the road at the east side, by the house of Kirikoryan al-Masur (?) at the west side, and by the road at the north side, and a land property, bounded (…) by Ebî Telûl al-Mesâbin (?) reaching up to the road from the east, by the Jafa road from the west, the Jafa route from the north (…) the Moskofiye house totally adjacent (?) to the road… to the road opened up from the north (…) al-Moskofiye, erstwhile by Berkim and now by al-Lord (?) at qibla side (…) and a guesthouse housing two churches and three guesthouses, a hospital divided into two departments and a garden, two houses, the buildings known as the Great Moskofiye within a gate containing other necessary things and the gardens located within it. With regard to their measures, a map has been drawn up, and it has been considered appropriate to assign the Deputy Municipal Engineer Keyni (?) Efendi, experts Reşid Kemal Efendi and İsa al-Turse (?) Efendi for the task of determining their value. And it has been decided that the situation be immediately notified to them.
