Description | Since the municipal engineer, Wilbû Shwîh went to Syria to settle his business and is not been back yet, the presidency of the district is obliged to write to the province of Syria to ask the engineer in question to return to his post a week from now. If he fails to come back, he will be relieved from his job. However, 15 days have passed and he has not not returned, which has delayed work delegated to him in the municipality, especially since Kamnî Effendi has been assigned by the Beirut province to be a municipal engineer for a salary of 2500 piasters, but he refused the job and preferred to serve his country for less money, which is 2000 piasters. Therefore, it has been decided to appoint him for the engineering post in Jerusalem for 2000 piasters a month, to be paid from the date the district administrative council approves the appointment from the municipality’s treasury. Former engineer Wilbû Shwîh Effendi has been relieved of his duties, because of his long absence. The allocated salary for the engineer in the budget is 1800 piasters, which leaves an extra 700 piasters to be paid from the road allocations which have not been built yet because of lack of resources. The matter should be sent to the governorate to issue the decision and approve the increase in the salary in the above mentioned manner. Therefore, this decision was taken on the 18th of Huzayrân (1)333 (18th of June 1917). [2 signatures and 1 seal] |
