Description | Case of the murder of the wife of an auxiliary drogman. Discovery of the assassins. Abouhouedge dismissed, commander of Ramlé's[Ramla] irregular horsemen. Definitive from service, after a month in prison, of the four riders charged. Dismissal of their unities. Conviction of the Governor of Ramlé to pay compensation to the auxiliary drogman Isaac Angel for the objects stolen from him. Orders to bring the murderers, dead or alive, to Jerusalem. Tough measures taken to achieve this result. Formal promise of a brilliant vengeance if they are brought alive. Noises relating to the obtention of a firman for Greeks are declared formally unfounded by the Pasha. Construction by Latin religious of a main building for schools. (PP. 123-124) |
