Description | Celebration of the Emperor's feast. Eagerness of all religious, civil and military authorities. Attitude full of courtesy of the consuls of foreign powers. The donation of a thousand francs for the distribution of clothes to the poor children of the French schools of the Franciscan Custody, schools placed under the patronage of H.A.I. the Imperial Prince. I. annex. Copy of a dispatch from the consul to the Emperor's ambassador in Constantinople. Positive cause of the error in which some Spanish Procurators General or Cashiers of the Franciscan Custody brought down the Spanish government and thus misled it. Although this government could do, in the Holy Land, from the point of view of increasing Catholic heritage by giving full satisfaction to the religious and patriotic feelings of the Spanish nation.
