Description | Confidential. On the considerable increase in Russian settlements in Palestine and on the amount of money made available to the "Moscow Holy Land Association" to continue the acquisition of land. It is necessary to encourage Catholic religious communities to come and set up establishments in Palestine and to subsidize to the widest extent those already there to enable them to give their works and especially their land acquisitions more scope and development. Remarks on the so-called Good Friday quest for the benefit of the works of Palestine originally intended for the reconstruction of the dome of the Holy Sepulchre: the Bishop of Marseilles asked the Court of Rome whether the proceeds of the Good Friday quest should be dedicated solely to the Franciscan Custody or whether they could not be distributed among the other communities of Palestine.
