Ff. 10-13: “Assumptionists (Fathers …)” (1931). Correspondence between the Assumptionist Fr Léopold Dressaire and Mgr Mazzoli concerning the donation of aid. Ff. 14-38: “Custody” (1929-1931). Correspondence between Mgr Valeri and Aurelio Motta, Custos of the Holy Land, concerning the allegations to the Delegation, like the bad management of offers from Catholics worldwide and the ineffectiveness of the Franciscan Fathers. Ff. 52-57: “Greek Monks Greek Orthodox” (1930-1931). Correspondence concerning a Greek Orthodox monk and his property for the opening of a new newspaper. Ff. 71-80: “Marriages” (1930-1931). Correspondence between Mgr Luigi Barlassina, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, and Mgr Valeri concerning the transfer to rite by a Jewish woman to marry a Greek Catholic from Sydon and the validity of this marriage. Ff. 86-89: “Division Parish St Saviour Jerusalem” (1934). Letter from the Custos of the Holy Land to the Prefet of the Sacred Congregation of Propaganda Fide Card. Pietro Fumasoni Biondi, on the division of the Church of St Saviour in Jerusalem. Ff. 90-94: “Indemnity to the Patriarchate” (1929). Letters to Mgr Valeri concerning a report by the Apostolic Nonce in Paris concerning the indemnity by the Special Commission for Missions in Palestine, for the damages caused during the war. One letter is from the Secretariat of State. Ff. 126-129: “Russians in Palestine” (1929). Correspondence between the Apostolic Delegation and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem concerning the request of information on the Russian in Palestine. Ff. 134-165: “Rite” (1929-1934). Request of passage to the Latin rite. It contains copy of a document of 1891. |

Description | This archival fonds contains documents from 1839 to 1935, although some of them date before this period. Most part of the archives of pontifical representations started to arrive to Vatican since the mid Seventies of the 20th century. During the cataloguing, the fonds was divided into “Archivio Antico”; “Archivio mons. Cassulo” e “Archivio mons. Valeri-Mazzoli-Bartoloni-Dini”. The last one is composed by 101 dossiers. |
