Letter Σάμι of sadrazam [grand vizier] Mehmed Emin Ali pasha in response to the Patriarch of Jerusalem, stating about Hage that it was not conceded entirely, but only an upper terrace of their monastery to the Franciscans, after intervention of the emperor of Austria, and that in no way will a second door will be opened to the Holy Sepulchre as the Patriarch suspects, because the decision of the Sublime Porte is that no alteration shall be performed in the neighboring parts between nations.
